Nitpicky alert! The animators need to brush up on their reindeer anatomy.
I was reading an article about the changes reindeer undergo during winter.
The most significant one is visible in the Sven video.
Or not visible rather, since the animators goofed!
Reindeer hooves change texture in winter, the soft covering retracts, leaving sharp edged hooves.
It's for better traction on the ice, cutting into it much as an ice skate would.
And since it's winter, Sven would have sharp edged hooves.
But in the video, he's got soft edged hooves.
Which he would only have in summer!
Random question, does anyone else here buy Art books of movies?
This is Frozen's one:
http://www.rotoscopers.com/2013/08/27/icy-cover-of-the-art-book-the-art-of-frozen-revealed/For my favorite movies, I've made a point of collecting them.
This one is on my list to buy, but it's not for sale yet.
They aren't usually released until just before or after the movie comes out.
