As a Wii U owner, would it be worth getting the Saga Bundle?

Postby Dedede_Man » Tue Jun 30, 2015 5:55 pm

So, I was saving my money for power discs and I exercised self-control that I genuinely didn't expect I'd be capable of. Now I've got plenty of time before release and am considering getting the Saga Bundle and buying an extra Wii U disc.
Would this be worth doing? It's an extra 40 euros, but I'll admit, I'm hyped as heck for Boba Fett.

If it helps for explanations, I plan on getting all of the figures and playsets.

Personally, I would say no. There is nothing exclusive in the saga bundle that you are just wasting $40 on for a game disc that could be used for other things.

i guess it depends if you want to wait at least another 4 months to play as Boba Fett if you don't buy the bundle

As sheriff and mukluk said there nothing that won't be available outside the bundle with 4 months of waiting. There's sooooo many figures and playssts that waiting suits me so I can get use of the other figures

Thanks for the advice everyone!
Though you make good arguments against the price, you reminded me that I'd need to wait FOUR MONTHS for Boba Fett. Uh, not happening.
Saga Bundle it is!

Just buy a PS4. Then you wont have to buy a Wii U disk.

Cmon all the cool kids are doing it :)

@CCRunner524
As of now, PS4 has no exclusives that would really push me to buy it.

Buy Ps3/ps4 saga bundle and Wii u starter at launch, remove Ps4/ps3 starter pack from saga bundle. Return ps3/ps4 starter set to store for refund or trade, leaving you with Wii u starter + Boba Fett & Rise against eh Empire playset. Problem solved :)

I'd personally wait it out. Last year was a different story (I bought the PS4 exclusive when I have an Xbox360) because we got the collectors base. Every thing in this pack will eventually come out.. And think about all of the launch figures we are getting... 5 emotions from Inside Out, 6 Disney Toy Box characters, 4 Rebels characters, 4 Twilight of the Republic characters, and maybe the Marvel playset which would be another 4 or 5. That's over 20+ characters that you can play with at launch! Would you really only be playing with Boba Fett on day 1?? Besides, the PlayStation Saga pack doesn't include Chewie, Han Solo, or Darth Vader, would you want to play through the whole playset without them (Depending on how fast you play through it)!? I know that I wouldn't. That way it spaces out, instead of spending everything at once and saying "Now what?" I can buy my Inside Out figures and still think "I have a new Star Wars set coming out next month!" And after I'm done playing that I can say "Boba Fett is next month!"

With the Marvel play set, Twilight of the Republic play set, Toy box takeover, toy box speedway, Inside Out play set, I think it may be January before I even get into playing Rise Against the Empire, which would then be the perfect time to by Boba Fett at regular price.

.....or you can spend $40 extra at launch :lol:
