@ Rapunzel
I really went in wanting to like the movie. I read tons of good reviews about it, and watched many positive video reviews. I thought the movie would prove me wrong, but it didn't. And note that I said Disney
princess movies being accurate to the period in time they take place in terms of dialog and songs. If Belle from Beauty and the Beast went around saying: "It's, like, totally crazy Gaston is in love with me! I mean, he's hot, but he's totally not my type!" It just wouldn't work because of the time period the movie takes place in.
Belle was also an awkward girl. Everyone in the town thought she was weird, but she knew how to conduct herself in society.
Another thing I forgot to mention (which is a spoiler as well)
They never explained why Kristoff was alone as a child. In the beginning song, I assumed one of the 30 men ripping out ice blocks would be his dad. Then Kristoff is seeing what the royal family is doing in the forest and a random troll says "I'm gonna keep you". It was just weird and rushed. This movie could've been good if they had put more time into the story and character development.
