Disney Infinity 2.0 event update: One Topic For Everything

True, but people overall are just naturally slow to upgrade unless you flat out force them to. Look at the Windows XP mess that is going on right now. VHS-DVD took years and still only fully happened once they stopped making new movies on VHS.

They really shouldn't have even bothered with a Wii version. The console was obviously on its last legs and no place to put a brand new on-going franchise.

Anyone else think Manhattan looks.... dull?
I guess it is just a prototype.
I sure hope it is more vibrant when it comes out.

Do you think it'll be possible to remote play on your PS vita if you buy the game for PS4? That would be nice, because I'd like to have a screen besides the TV and I don't really want to change to the Wii U version now that I've unlocked everything for PS3.
I have twelve percent of a plan.

@Stitch: Yeah, it's still a work in progress, so it might be different when done.

Disney Infinity 2.0 event update: One Topic For Everything

Here is a another interview with some new info I hadn't seen yet. They talk a bit about what led them to hiring TBA's from the community, and how people will be able to search and filter Toy Box downloads which lends one to think tagging maybe coming.

I'm intrigued to hear that people who want to upgrade to the Next gen version of the game will be able to get a downloadable version for free. This is kind of weird for a couple reasons. First, would black widow, iron man, and Thor all be available to buy outside of the starter kit? I think I may just buy the starter set for the PS4 anyway because I would like to have the actual DI 2.0 disc. Call me crazy, but some DLC just drives me crazy.

The download is the toybox only. If you want those characters, you might as well get the starter pack and get the avengers playset. I doubt that the inclusion of another base is going to make that much difference in cost. As an Xbox user I'll have to get it anyway, so not really an issue there.

In the same vain, would they make the three original starter characters available as standalone figures for those only starting with 2.0?

@Gorki247 as an xbox user I'll have to get it anyway

Are you switching to Playstation or WiiU? If not you won't need a new base the 360 base works with XBOne

I'll be going from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and yes this needs a new base. I believe it has something to do with how Xbox One deals with USB peripherals in a different way. This is not the case with the other platforms.
